IndyMED is a young spin-off company that was founded in Rostock, Germany, in January 2004.
This was supported by the Steinbeis Tranferzentrum Proteom-Analyse.

The business concept of IndyMED encompasses :

  • to study clinical samples of patients suffering from autoimmune diseases
  • to develop specific diagnostic and therapeutic appropaches for polygenic diseases
  • to transpose results of this research and development efforts into marketable products
  • to develop methods and services offered by IndyMED to customers

Customers of IndyMED are:
  • Pharmaceutical Industry
  • CROs
  • Hospitals and General Practitioners
  • Patients

IndyMED is a collaborator of the "Proteome Alliance" and the Proteome Center Rostock exploring Genomics, Transcriptomics, Proteomics as well as Bioinformatics in a clinical setting, by taking advantage of innovative and novel technologies.
The "Proteome Alliance" presents a research network of more then 20 partners in Germany assembling clinics, industry, and academic institutions.
